Raised in England, I was drawn to birding and nature from an early age, especially after spending a year in South Africa as a young boy. Living in Australia for many years only enhanced the passion. Nature photography came a little later after extensive travel to all four corners of the world. Since 2007 I have resided in Copenhagen and have my own consultancy company as well as freelancing for nature and photography travel companies.

Designed by birders for birders 🐦 All tours are taken with the intention of having as minimal an impact as possible on the wildlife. 

In addition to my passion for wildlife and my skills as a nature photographer, I have extensive field experience forged over many years, both within and outside of Denmark. Further, the purpose of a trip with Birding Copenhagen is not just the fact of seeing or photographing the birds we will see, but also sharing knowledge and learning about the characteristics, behavior and importance of each species we observe, and not least being awe struck by the natural beauty of the areas we visit.
